We look forward to making your stay in Merrickville both relaxing and comfortable.

Location:
Aincroft House
is located at the corner of Read and Wallace Street in the picturesque and historic village of Merrickville, Ontario; a ten minute walk from the Rideau River and Canal; a thirty minute drive from Highway #401 and the St. Lawrence River; a forty-five minute drive from our nation's capital, Ottawa.

About Our Home:
A feeling of spaciousness is created in the broad hallways and open concept of the living and dining areas, all of which are enhanced with twelve foot vaulted ceilings. Oversized windows add peaceful views of the red pines on our one and a half acres of wooded property.

For Our Guests:
In winter our guests are encouraged to enjoy the warmth of the wood-burning fireplace and, in warmer weather, to relax outdoors in screened comfort on spacious patios. Or, you may prefer to choose a book from the library shelves, watch TV, enjoy the challenge of cards or table games or to take a stroll through the woods. In season, croquet, boules and horseshoes are available.

A refrigerator near your bedroom stocks ice and allows for the storage of personal beverages or snacks. In the dining room, a water cooler dispenses chilled water.

Our full breakfast includes juice, cereal(s), muffins, jams, honey, fresh fruit salad and alternating entrees will be selected from omelets, eggs, bacon, french toast, pancakes, bagels, or buns. We serve a variety of teas and quality coffee.

Our Guestrooms:
Our large guest rooms are named for birds we observed in the adjacent Rideau River National Migratory Bird Sanctuary. All rooms have sufficient turning radius for a wheelchair and vaulted ceilings add to the sense of roominess. Each guest room provides a writing and bed-side table for your convenience and a rocking chair for relaxing. Wide patio doors afford views of the property and give access to the screened patios.

Our bedrooms feature ensuite bathrooms with either a large roll-in shower or an oversized luxurious soaking tub outfitted with mobility aids.
